We work with some incredibly inspiring and talented people. People who, like us, want to encourage young children to take part in active grass root sports. They know from their experience why getting active and participating is so important growing up. We’re so excited to have these ambassadors as part of the Cricket tots phenomenon, sharing our dream to get more boys and girls into the sport and take Cricket tots global. You can find out more about them below.
She may still be in her teens but Katie has already achieved great things in her career, joining the England Women’s Academy just this year. Her passion for getting more children into grass root sports knows no bounds, one of the reasons she was so thrilled to join us.
On becoming an ambassador, Katie said: “I am extremely excited to become an ambassador for Cricket tots and to be part of a very experienced and professional team. The classes are an amazing opportunity for children to be introduced to my favourite sport, I just wish Cricket tots was around when I was 4! I started playing cricket at my school when I was eight, and joined the England Women’s Academy programme aged 16, so it shows the earlier you start the better! I can’t wait to see more children joining Cricket tots and playing the game.”
When Katie drops by Cricket tots classes make sure she shows you the perfect bowling technique!
Leicestershire’s head coach, Paul Nixon, enjoyed a glittering career representing England, Cumberland, the MCC, Kent, Delhi Giants and Leicestershire. He is one of cricket's true characters enjoying a 23-year career which saw him lift three T20 titles and two County Championships. He also set up the Paul Nixon Cricket Foundation, offering youngsters apprenticeship opportunities. We’re so excited to have him on board, taking the Cricket tots world to the next level.
